Holyoke Firefighters Battle Truck Fire on Rt 91 South

Holyoke Firefighters were dispatched to a garbage truck fire in the southbound lanes of Interstate 91 near Wycoff Country Club early in the morning on Tuesday November 24th.
The fire was reported shortly after 8 a.m, Engine 6, Engine 3 and truck 1 responded. Water was a concern but crews were able to secure a hydrant in a neighbor hood next to the highway. The fire was labor intensive and was finally extinguished by late morning.
