115 Elm St fire 3:59 am June 16, 2014

At 0359 hours on Monday June 16, units were toned out to 115 Elm street for a fire on the rear porch. While enroute companies were notified that PD was on scene and reporting the rear of the fourth floor was fully involved and children were reportedly trapped. Upon arrival units went to work attacking the fire from the rear porches and interior of the fourth floor. A primary search came up negative. Units battled the labor intensive 3 alarm fire with the help of call back firefighters from Holyoke and mutual aide companies from South Hadley, Chicopee, Easthampton, Westover AFB and Springfield, into the early morning hours.
